With a background in engineering, he incorporates his knowledge and perspective of mechanical systems into the worlds he builds in the mind of the reader. An avid reader, his stories are inspired by the works of writers such as Orson Scott Card, Pierce Brown, and James S. A. Correy. Proud husband, father, and owner of two rambunctious fur-babies, when M. R. Parsons isn’t writing, he’s usually reading, cooking, playing board games with the family, or enjoying a science-fiction movie with a nice glass of bourbon.
